Kyle MacLachlan Remembers ‘Twin Peaks’ Co-Star Piper Laurie With Touching Tribute
deadline.comPiper Laurie recently died following a long illness and her former Twin Peaks co-star Kyle MacLachlan is paying tribute to the late star. “It’s never easy losing a member of the Twin Peaks family, & the passing of #PiperLaurie is no different,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “She was such a caring presence & incredible force on screen.
The vivacious energy she brought to Catherine will live on forever. Sending love to her family, friends, & fans.” MacLachlan shared a photo that featured himself alongside Laurie, Joan Chen and Michael Ontkean.
Laurie starred as Catherine Martell in the David Lynch and Mark Frost series in all the episodes from the original run. For her role in the series, she was nominated for the Golden Globe in the Best Supporting Actress category in 1990.
That same year, Laurie earned a nomination at the Primetime Emmys in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category.
