Kyle figure skaters fly British flag in Slovenia after finding new home following closure of Ayr Ice Rink
dailyrecord.co.ukThree figure skaters from Ayr’s Kyle Club have headed to Slovenia this week to fly the British flag.Isla Forsyth, Nicole Brennan and Lewis McDonald are competing at Basic Novice level in what is a huge accomplishment in their skating journey.It’s all the more poignant given the recent turmoil of the closure of their home ice rink in Ayr.But thanks to huge generosity, these and many other skaters have now found a new home at the Magnum Figure Skating Club based out of Auchenharvie Ice Rink in Stevenson.All three are coached by Gillian and Suzanne Otterson who have successfully navigated the difficult times to ensure their skaters’ success continues at the Magnum Club.
