Kurt Cobain’s MTV Unplugged performance is one of his most iconic appearances, and one lucky fan will be able to own a piece of memorabilia from that very performance.
The guitar used by the Nirvana frontman during the show is going up for auction in June, but anyone wishing to get their hands on it is going to have a pretty penny to pay.
The instrument is being listed with a starting estimate of $1million (£810,000), so this is one for serious investors only. Kurt played the 1959 Martin D-18E guitar for the band’s iconic appearance on MTV Unplugged in 1993, just five months before he died aged 27.
