Janelle James, the actor whose role as principal Ava Coleman on “Abbott Elementary” earned her an Emmy nomination, has been named host of the 75th annual Writers Guild Awards on the West Coast. “I am honored to be hosting the WGA Awards this year,” James said in a statement. “I was told that I can say whatever I want.
