The 32-year-old Oscar-nominated actress walked the carpet for the premiere of her controversial new film Crimes of the Future during the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on Monday (May 23) in Cannes, France. Kristen was joined at the premiere by co-stars Viggo Mortensen, Lea Seydoux, and Scott Speedman, as well as writer and director David Cronenberg.

IGN notes that several audience members walked out during the film’s premiere due to the film’s content. “Notably, the majority of walkouts took place within the first five minutes, with others exiting during a particularly grotesque scene involving Léa Seydoux and an open wound,” the outlet reported. David previously said, “There are some very strong scenes.
I mean, I’m sure that we will have walkouts within the first five minutes of the movie. I’m sure of that. Some people who have seen the film have said that they think the last 20 minutes will be very hard on people, and that there’ll be a lot of walkouts.
