The 30-year-old actress is playing the 'People's Princess' in the new film, which is being directed by Pablo Larrain and due to be released in the Autumn.
A new promotional pic for the film has shown Kristen in full character, even down to Diana's famous sapphire and diamond engagement ring and has won a lot of plaudits for her similarities to the popular royal.
It is not all sunshine though as the pic has divided fans of Diana, with many taking to social media to share their annoyance at the snap and how it does not do the late princess justice.
