Krishnan Guru-Murthy has revealed that his doctor can't guarantee he 'won't drop dead on Strictly' due to his genetic heart condition.
The 53 year old journalist and Channel 4 newsreader is one of the celebrities who will be putting on their dancing shoes for this year's Strictly Come Dancing, which is due to start in September.
Krishnan suffers from the heart condition hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which has caused the death of two of his cousins. But despite that, Krishnan explained that he felt that he needed to do the show sooner rather than later, for fear of being "too "decrepit" to do it later in life.
Krishnan has the full support of his wife as he tries something new by going on Strictly this year, where he will be joined by other celebs such as former Love Island star, Zara McDermott, and EastEnders' Bobby Brazier.
