Kris Boyd has described Walter Smith as the best manager he ever played for, and says it's his man management that sets the Rangers legend apart.
The former striker played under Smith with Scotland and Rangers, winning two league titles with the Ibrox club. And while he also has high praise for the likes of Steve Clarke and Alex McLeish, it's Smith who left the biggest impression.
Boyd said on Sky's Scottish Football Podcast : "For me, Walter Smith was the best to work under. From the very first moment you come across him, the stature is there. "I worked with him at Scotland, and I knew right away there was a more relaxed feeling.
