A man who brandished a knife in a pub live-streamed himself on Facebook making threats which lead to an armed police stand-off.

Davide Sardu threatened to "kill everyone" and told the camera "next time, it's not your time next time" after he was told to leave the boozer.

Armed officers were called to the disturbance at the Bondgate Tavern in Darlington which led to a cordon being put in place on the evening of January 8, but Sardu states that he did not know he was committing a crime, as reported by Teesside Live.

At Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court Sardu, aged 42 and who had been remanded in custody, pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article in a public place and obstructing a police officer.
