A knife with Brianna Ghey's DNA was recovered from the bedroom of a teenage boy accused of murdering her, a jury heard. Boy Y denies murdering 16-year-old Brianna in Culcheth Linear Park, near Warrington.
He is standing trial at Manchester Crown Court alongside a teenage girl. The two defendants, both aged 16, known in press reports as Girl X and Boy Y, deny murder.
Girl X, from Culcheth, and Boy Y, from Leigh, cannot be named due to legal reasons. Jurors have heard that 'each blames the other'.
Brianna was found by dog walkers in the park just after 3pm on Saturday, February 11.
