Knife victim stabbed to death in own home as locals pay tribute to 'lovely' woman

She was taken to hospital but tragically passed away from her injuries a short time later. A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident which occurred in the Stalybridge area of Manchester.
He remains in custody for questioning, reports Manchester Evening News. On the morning of July 7, police and investigators at the scene recovered a knife nearby to where the attack took place.
It's understood to have been found under a van after the vehicle's owner drove off to go to work.A forensics tent could also be seen covering a white car parked on a drive.
