Knife terror on Ayr street as pair demand cash from youngsters

A police investigation is underway after youngsters were threatened with a knife by a man and a woman in Ayr at the weekend.The pair demanded cash from the group of youths at around 8.30pm on Saturday on on River Ayr walk near Mill Street.The man threatened them with a knife and demanded money and personal belongings from them.

The youths ran off without handing anything over and were uninjured, police confirmed today.The man is described as being in his 20s, 5ft 9in tall, of slim build with sallow skin.

He was wearing a snood, dark clothing, gloves and had his hood up.The woman is described as being in her 40s, around 5ft 9in tall, of heavier build, with blonde hair and a sunken facial appearance and had a slightly impaired walk.
