Kitty's Light stormed to Scottish Grand National glory to claim the £200,000 prize in front of a sell-out crowd at Ayr racecourse.
The 4/1 joint favourite won for trainer Christian Williams with jockey Jack Tudor riding home ahead of his 17 rivals in a thrilling race and the highlight of the jumps calendar north of the border.Scottish trainer Lucinda Russell was looking to complete a double by winning the race for the first time in her career and follow up on last week's success at Aintree with Corach Rambler taking the Grand National crown.
Your Own Story went off joint favourite with Kitty's Light after Monbeg Genius was one of a handful of non runners due to the ground.
But it was disappointment for Kinross-based star Russell who also had Mighty Thunder in the race but the 14/1 shot struggled to get going and was brought down eight fences from home.And it was victory for Wales as Kitty's Light went one better than last year's runners-up effort at Ayr.
