EXCLUSIVE: Portuguese-based sales and distribution company Lucky Matrix, best known as the outfit behind Iran’s 2024 Oscar submission In The Arms Of The The Tree, has added the indie British flick Kirsty’s Promise to its EFM slate.
Kirsty’s Promise is the directorial debut from Bristol-based writer Jeff Notton. The film is a Bristol-set dramatic thriller.
The story follows ex-addict Kirsty, played by Simone McIntyre, who risks her new life by re-entering the brutal world of heroin and prostitution, and unknowingly the stalking grounds of a serial killer, to save her best friend Becky, played by Bear Thompson.
This film is produced under Simone McIntyre’s Orley Productions. The official synopsis reads: Kirsty’s Promise is a thriller that centers on the relationship between two friends.
