Kippen gardener's special legacy revealed as locals pay heartfelt tribute

When he was asked to thin down the daffodils in client’s gardens, rather than throwing them into the compost bin he went up to the Kippen woods and planted them.“There is now a beautiful display of daffodils in the Kippen woods known as the daffodil walk as a result.“Everyone thought this was a natural phenomena until I spoke with a local dog walker who disclosed that Forrester had told her he planted them.
I subsequently asked him about it and he confirmed that he had indeed planted them over the years.“The truth be told he was a mischievous, private man who didn’t tell anyone other than his close friends.
He was ‘no frills’.“He was a real live Roald Dahl character who had sadly never read a book in his whole life - but very knowledgeable.
