King Charles To Star In Feature-Length Doc For Amazon Prime, With Filming Already Begun

Amazon Prime has won the right to produce a feature-length documentary in which King Charles will grant filmmakers private access.

The Times of London reports that filming has already begun on the project, with Charles hoping to share his message with viewers about ways he believes they can “transform people, places and ultimately the planet.” The film will follow the philosophy outlined in his 2010 book Harmony: A New Way of Looking at Our World, and production began last month in Scotland.

A source told the newspaper: “Filming has started for the Amazon production and the crew have had some time with the King. More than any other documentary he has done before, the aim seems to be to tell the world what the King stands for and what he is all about.” The Times reports that several platforms were considered for the project before Amazon won royal approval.

Members of the Royal Family have previously worked with established UK broadcasters, including the BBC and ITV. Charles’s son Harry and his wife Meghan Markle famously signed a multimillion deal with Amazon rivals Netflix on their move to the US five years ago.
