King Charles III is in Southport today, where he plans to meet with survivors and grieving families after a tragic knife attack that left three children dead.
The shocking incident occurred on July 29 during a Taylor Swift-themed dance class. Arriving in the Merseyside town at around 1.30pm on Tuesday afternoon, the King held a private meeting with some of those affected to hear first-hand the ordeal faced by some of the young survivors.
At Southport Town Hall, the King was greeted warmly by a large crowd of people, who gathered at a memorial filled with flowers and cuddly toys to the three young victims: six year old Bebe King, seven year old Elsie Dot Stancombe, and nine year old Alice Dasilva Aguiar.
Local residents held a vigil at the town hall the day after the attack.
