A teenager who was killed in a car crash as police were called to an attempted burglary has been named locally as Shae Marlow.
Police had been called to an attempted burglary in Ambleside, Stalybridge, just after 6pm on Tuesday and followed a VW Golf car that crashed in Wakefield Road.
Tributes have been paid to 16-year-old Shae who was described as a "kindhearted" and "funny" boy. A GoFundMe page set up for Shae said he was a "carrying, polite, young loving lad who always made eveyone smile." One friend added on Facebook "Rip Shae Marlow such a young polite boy always said hi with a cheeky smile on his face my heart is with his family deverstating RIP young boy shine bright up there in heaven."
