Lottery winner Jamie Heavens is helping out NHS workers during the pandemic by offering them free motor breakdown recovery. Kind Jamie, 26, who bought the breakdown recovery firm with his winnings, said: “I just wanted to give my little bit back. “And I hoped other people might see my offer and do the same thing. “I know the NHS staff are doing a fantastic job and I wanted to do something to show how much they are appreciated.

It’s a challenging time for so many people at the moment, we all have to pull together and help if we can.” Jamie helped nurse Lorraine Knott, 46, who cares for Covid-19 patients at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, fixing her flat tyre at the end of her 12-hour shift.
