Kim Kardashian's shapewear brand Skims is firing back in court after it was sued by a woman claiming she received defective body tape that injured her.A representative for the 41-year-old reality icon's brand now claims that the woman in question purchased her body tape from Amazon, and it appears to either be a completely different brand of tape or a fake product labeled as Skims, according to TMZ.Noelle Mahasin Smith claimed in her lawsuit, which was filed on Monday, that Skims tape that she purchased had ripped her skin off when she tried to remove it.

'We take feedback from our customers very seriously.
Upon further review of this specific complaint, we have discovered that the customer purchased what appears to be fake tape from Amazon, who is not an authorized or official retailer of SKIMS products,' they said.A screenshot obtained by TMZ appears to show an an Amazon receipt from 2019.The product does not list the name 'Skims' anywhere on the receipt, and a listing that appears to be for the same item also does not currently list it as a Skims product.
