Now, in a bid to help fine-haired girls cheat a bit of extra volume, Kim Kardashian’s hairstylist Chris Appleton has shared his top tip for creating a thicker pony. “Try this hair hack for any one that wants to make their hair look thicker and upgrade your pony game,” he captions the Instagram Reel.

He uses a model to show how to actually execute the hack, helping viewers to see each stage in good detail. Chris’ method is also thankfully incredibly simple, with just a couple of steps and minimal tools needed.

In fact, you’ll only need two hair ties to hand. He starts by sectioning the hair in two, splitting the bulk in half just above the tops of the model’s ears.
