Almost a month after channelling Hollywood’s Marilyn Monroe at the Met Gala, KUWTK star Kim Kardashian drew inspiration from another famous blonde when she was spotted at her sister Kourtney’s wedding sporting a messy bun similar to a look worn by 90s icon Pamela Anderson.

With her platinum blonde locks tied up in a wavy updo and chunky sections left out to frame her face, the whole style looked completely effortless – and we’ve been desperate to recreate it ever since.Thankfully, Kim’s go-to hairstylist Chris Appleton, who also counts Jennifer Lopez and Dua Lipa as clients, has just dropped a tutorial on how to achieve this throwback hairstyle.

In a video shared with his 2.6 million Instagram followers, Chris demonstrates how fans can get the same look using just a few simple products: a curling iron, a claw clip and texturising spray. “Everyone’s been asking for the 90s Pam updo.

It’s actually really easy to do,” he says. Firstly, Chris uses a large curling iron to give the hair a “rough bend”. He adds that it “doesn’t have to be perfect” but to make sure you “cover the whole head”, curling each piece away from the face before spritzing it with Color Wow’s Style on Steroids Texture Spray, £11 here.
