mirror.co.ukA Kim Kardashian lookalike who smuggled more than £3.5m out of the country was jailed for nearly three years today. Tara Hanlon, 30, was caught with £1.94m stashed in five suitcases at Heathrow airport on 3 October 2020.
Border Force officers discovered the vacuum-packed wads of cash in her luggage covered in coffee before she boarded a flight to Dubai.
The recruitment consultant had already smuggled £1.4m out of the country on 14 July last year, a further £1.1m on 10 August and £1m on 31 August.
Hanlon, who was furloughed from her job in March 2020, earned £3,000 for each trip she made, Isleworth Crown Court heard. She was acting on orders from a woman called 'Michelle Clerk', who she met four years earlier in Leeds, but lived in Dubai.
