Kim Kardashian has helped to secure the release of another prisoner, as part of her campaign for prison reform in the US. Alexis Martin, a sex trafficking survivor, was given a life sentence and jailed in Ohio when she was 17 years old, after being convicted at the age of 15 for murder.

She was accused of plotting a robbery that resulted in the death of her trafficker. Kim had featured Alexis’ case in her new TV show, airing on Oxygen, titled Kim Kardashian: The Justice Project, after Alexis, now 22, wrote to her after the release of Alice Marie Johnson, that Kim had helped with, in 2018.

It’s now been confirmed that a governor has commuted Alexis’ sentence and she will be released from prison to undergo supervision in a group home.
