Kanye West is reportedly at “war” with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian after he dropped a song that apparently features Sean “Diddy” Combs and their daughter North.Kanye West – now legally known as Ye – dropped the new song, ‘Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine’ on X/Twitter yesterday (March 15).
In the post, he claimed it featured disgraced rap mogul Diddy, his son Christian “King” Combs, Yeezy artist Jasmine Williams and West’s own 11-year-old daughter, North.Just a day earlier, Combs spoke to a court for the first time since his arraignment on sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution charges, and pleaded not guilty. It opens with a voice that appears to be Diddy’s – who Ye billed as Puff Daddy – saying: “I just want to thank you so much just taking care of my kids, man,” he says. “Ain’t nobody reached out, ain’t nobody called.”West then responds, “I love you so much, man.
It’s like, you raised me. Even when I didn’t know you, know what I’m saying?” North is later heard rapping: “When you see me shining, then you see the light.”The legitimacy of Combs’ involvement in the song is dubious, partly because of West’s increasingly controversial tendencies on social media.
Fans have already expressed outrage that he featured his daughter on a song with the Bad Boy Records exec, who has been held in a federal jail awaiting a trial which is set to begin on May 5.NME has reached out to Combs’ legal team for comment. It also comes under question as Ye’s own voice was used in an AI verse only.
