Kilmarnock street locked down by police as heavy force presence spotted

Police have locked down a Kilmarnock street this evening.Officers have a cordon in place at Highet Street between Danny Coffey Avenue and William Street.A heavy police presence has been spotted on the street concerned and neighbouring roads with several force vehicles on the scene with half-a-dozen cops also focusing their attention on one property in the area.Vehicles are not being permitted access through the route at the moment.Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
