Kilmarnock neighbours have railed against a bid to build a home on a spare strip of land in the middle of a housing estate. A proposal to build a new house on Wallacetown Avenue in the town's Southcraig estate has been met with numerous objections.The plan to build a detached two-storey villa and double garage has been submitted by Neil Hood of Stewarton.If approved, Mr Hood's home would be based on a currently unoccupied 1631 sqm patch of land that surrounds existing homes on the estate.In a letter to residents, the applicant says the plans have been submitted by his newly formed company - Hood Property.Mr Hood said he initially considered building multiple dwellings on the site but decided that one single family dwelling would be "more.
