Paul Wright admits he had a “lump in his throat” when the Kilmarnock Scottish Cup bus parade reached the town centre.He recalls the open-top party hitting John Finnie Street on May 24, 1997, and not being able to move.He also admits that he barely remembers the game but will never forget how special the celebrations afterwards were.Speaking to the Kilmarnock Standard about the famous 1-0 victory over Falkirk in which he scored the winner, he said: “I have said a few times before, I can’t even remember the game, which is amazing.“I can remember after the game more than I can playing the game.“Looking back on it, it was a fantastic day.
