Kilmarnock have appealed a decision to red card Kyle Vassell in their 2-0 loss to Hibs on Saturday. The striker signed in January was sent off by referee John Beaton for a high challenge on Hibs defender Marijan Cabraja after half-time in Leith.
Beaton had decided to show a yellow card to the Killie forward initially but VAR asked him if he wanted to to review his decision and then it was upgraded to a red.It will be looked at by an independent panel but Rugby Park boss Derek McInnes was left fizzing after the game, saying VAR is 'doing his head in' as another decision made since its autumn introduction is put to an appeal.
St Johnstone won their appeal to have Nicky Clark's sending off against Rangers overturned, as did Dundee United with Tony Watt for a foul in their defeat to Motherwell.
McInnes said at the weekend: "There’s no sense that it was a bad challenge.“You can sniff a red card, there’s a sense that something’s happened which makes you feel a bit uneasy.
