metro.co.ukKilling Eve star Jodie Comer has been eyed up to star in Mad Max: Fury Road’s Furiosa-focused prequel film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 27-year-old would be playing the younger version of the Imperator after news of the Furiosa film was confirmed by director George Miller.
Charlize Theron – who played Furiosa in the 2015 film – won’t be returning to the new production. The director originally wanted to use de-ageing technology on Charlize, but ultimately decided against it. ‘For the longest time, I thought we could just use CG de-ageing on Charlize, but I don’t think we’re nearly there yet,’ George admitted. ‘Despite the valiant attempts on The Irishman, I think there’s still an uncanny valley.
