Detectives have released new CCTV footage as they continue to investigate the murder of a 28-year-old woman. Ashley Dale died from a single gunshot wound, a Home Office post-mortem has found.

A gunman burst through the front door of her Merseyside home in the early hours of Sunday, August 21. Police believe she was not the intended target, the Liverpool Echo reports.

But detectives think the gunman had been targeting Ashley's address for unknown reasons. She was found with gunshot wounds in the back garden of the property, on Leinster Road, Old Swan.
