Anthony Mackin, 49, was caught armed with the potentially deadly weapon in his home street shortly before Christmas.Paisley Sheriff Court heard on Friday that Mackin was spotted by neighbours armed with the weapon on December 4 last year.He was seen striking a lamp post with the weapon in Henderson Street, Paisley, at around 8pm that day, and police were contacted.When officers arrived at the scene, they saw Mackin standing near to some bushes, and he ran into his flat in the street.Due to the fact they had been told Mackin was armed, they aimed a taser at him, and he lay down on the ground and was handcuffed.He told the officers he had been outside "to cut wood" and had thrown.
