Kieran Tierney makes Arsenal claim as Celtic hero lifts lid on the 'toughest year of my life'

Kieran Tierney has confessed his first season at Arsenal has been the "toughest year of my life." The Celtic hero has earned rave reviews for his displays since lockdown but the £25m star admits injury struggles and adapting to life in London have been a challenge.

But Tierney wouldn't have it any other way and believes stepping out out of his Parkhead comfort zone is only making him a better player on the pitch.

The left-back bagged his first goal for the Gunners in Sunday's 3-2 win over Watford as Mikel Arteta's mean gear up for next weekend's FA Cup Final against Chelsea.

Speaking to Arsenal 's official website after the victory over the Hornets, the 23-year-old said:  “It’s been the toughest year of my life.
