Kieran Tierney says he's happy to bide his time and play when called upon by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. The left-back scored a wonderful half-volley to secure top spot in Europa League Group A for the Gunners with a 1-0 win over FC Zurich.

There was a worrying moment for the Celtic hero towards the end of the game when he was spotted hobbling with an ankle problem, but outside some swelling, he's all good after an energetic display.

That included getting his shirt ripped to pieces by a Zurich defender as Tierney showed Arteta the quality he has in reserve, with the Scotland star only starting three Premier League matches this season so far amid fierce competition for the left-back role.

Speaking to BT Sports, the 25-year-old says patience will be a virtue: "I want to play every single chance I can get but I am just going to keep working hard. "The manager knows that I will give 100% whether I am starting or not.
