Kieran Dowell says he has come to Rangers to lift the Scottish Premiership title as an early challenge is sent to holders Celtic. The Light Blues are in the midst of a summer rebuild in Michael Beale's first pre-season as boss, and attacking midfielder Dowell was his first recruit after his Norwich City deal expired.
He has joined up with his new teammates for a pre-season training camp in Germany and the 25-year-old is well aware of what is required this season.Dowell says he has made the journey north in search of the Scottish top table crown and that is the ultimate goal for Beale too.
He said: "That’s what I came here to do and that’s the ambition of the manager too. It’s plain to see the amount of business that we’ve done so far and the competition for places.
It’s only going to stand us in good stead and that’s the aim of everyone at the club."Beale has also been described as a big factor behind Dowell coming to Scotland.
