Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Former Rangers star Kevin Thomson has set social media ablaze by hinting he could be set for a reunion with his former team.
The Kelty Hearts boss is turning heads with the League Two leaders but started his coaching career within the Ibrox youth set-up.
He penned an emotional farewell to departed boss Steven Gerrard last week after his departure for Aston Villa. And now Rangers fans are convinced Thomson is in line for an emotional return as a coach after he posted a picture of him in Light Blue accompanied with a handshake emoji.
It comes with Ross Wilson and the Ibrox board working hard to secure their next boss with Gio van Bronckhorst the hot favourite to succeed Gerrard.
