EXCLUSIVE: Kevin Proctor, a British producer involved in making Brian Epstein biopic Midas Man, appeared in court today to face a charge of stalking an actress.

The 46-year-old was present at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, where he was accused of “stalking involving serious alarm/distress.” The charge relates to his treatment of Nicola Holt, an actress and model who has appeared in series including Viewpoint and Hollyoaks.

Proctor was due to enter a plea, but applied for an adjournment on medical grounds. The court agreed to reschedule the plea hearing for May 30 at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court.

Proctor, who spoke to confirm his name and address, has been remanded on conditional bail until the hearing. To prevent witness interference or the obstruction of justice, the producer cannot contact Holt or enter Bolton, a town in Greater Manchester.
