Kevin Nisbet. The English Championship side, who have signed Sam Cosgrove from Aberdeen for £2 million, have had two bids turned down since Saturday, with the first bid offer starting at £2.25 million.
The Blues upped the ante with another offer that could have eventually gone through the £2.6 mark, with add-ons. It now looks extremely unlikely that Birmingham will go in again, unless there is a change of stance from the Easter Road club.
Sources close to Hibs believe that if they hold on then Nisbet could possibly net them a future, club record transfer fee. They signed him from Dunfermline in the summer for a deal just short of £200,000.American owner Ron Gordon is not pushing to sell either, despite big bids for Nisbet and for Porteous.
