Kevin Hart lied about the extent of his injuries in hospital after fracturing his spine in a car accident. The Jumanji star was involved in a horrific car accident in September 2019, when the car he was a passenger in rolled into an embankment.

He was left needing surgery and was discharged from hospital after 10 days to recover in a rehabilitation centre. However, the 40-year-old has admitted he lied about how fast he was recovering, as he didn’t want the hospital to take away his chances to try and walk again.

Speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Hart said: ‘I lied in the hospital because I didn’t want them to know that I was having pain, because I thought that they were gonna stop me from letting me continue to try my walks.  ‘
