Kevin Hart is taking on a new role! The 41-year-old comedian has joined the cast of Borderlands, Eli Roth‘s adaptation of the video game of the same name. Kevin will play Roland, a skilled ex-soldier turned mercenary.

The cast also includes Cate Blanchett as Lilith, a legendary thief equipped with magical skills. While plot details haven’t been announced, the game takes place on the planet Pandora, a planet rich in natural resources that has been abandoned by a mega-corporation and is overrun by bandits and raiders. “I’m thrilled to be working with Kevin,” Eli said. “Borderlands is a different kind of role for him, and we are excited to thrill audiences with a side of Kevin they’ve never seen before.
