Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell (born December 18, 2001) is an American singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Highland Park, Los Angeles, Eilish began singing at a young age. She gained media attention in 2016, when she uploaded the song "Ocean Eyes" on SoundCloud, subsequently released by Darkroom and Interscope Records. "Ocean Eyes" was written and produced by her brother Finneas, with whom she collaborates on music and live shows. Eilish's debut EP, Don't Smile at Me (2017), reached the top 15 in the US, UK, Canada and Australia.

Clarkson's debut single, "A Moment Like This", topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and became the country's best-selling single of 2002. It was followed by the release of her debut studio album, Thankful (2003), which debuted atop the US Billboard 200. Trying to reinvent her image, Clarkson parted ways with Idol management and shifted to pop rock music for her second album, Breakaway (2004). After numerous top 40 radio number-one singles, such as "Since U Been Gone" and "Because of You", the album sold over 12 million copies worldwide and earned Clarkson two Grammy Awards.

Kelly Clarkson has wowed fans with her daily covers of pop songs during her “Kellyoke” segment of “The Kelly Clarkson Show”.

But one song in particular had some raising their eyebrows recently, as the “Voice” coach made a small but meaningful change to the lyrics.

Last week, Clarkson covered an abridged version of Billie Eilish’s single, “Happier Than Ever,” the title track from the Grammy winner’s second studio album, which came out in July.

The bitter breakup ballad has earned radio play and viral fame on TikTok for its scathing lyrics — notably, the symphonic swell at the end of the second verse, which is exactly where Clarkson made her change.
