Cereal giant Kellogg’s is to trial giant food trollies going from classroom to classroom to serve breakfast so school kids don’t go hungry in the morning.
The brekkie-on-wheels service will be tested when children return to school in England next week in a bid to keep them in their class bubbles.
According to a Kellogg’s survey of teachers, making sure children don’t start the school day on an empty tummy is one of the biggest challenges of the school day in the socially distanced new normal.
Teachers say that serving breakfast at desks is the best solution as opting for staggered start times will mean making the meal available from 8-11am which is unworkable.
