British artist Kay Young flexes all over "Sweet Dreams," her debut single and the first fruit of a deal with Jay-Z's Roc Nation label.
Discovered by Jay Electronica in the U.K., Young flips the script between rapping over boom-bap production and jazzy piano and delivering her own pillow-soft chorus.
The "Sweet Dreams" video is similarly versatile, starting with an intense shot of Youg hanging upside down in a straitjacket before switching to neon shades for the softer, vocal-led parts of the song.
