Katie Price spends £8k spray painting beloved VW Beetle despite bankruptcy

Katie Price has been reunited with her beloved VW Beetle - spending £8k revamping it three years since it was first repossessed.The bankrupt star has splurged on painting her motor a deep purple shade as she moves forward with her life following months of court drama.

A source said: "Katie has recently decided to revamp and fix her beloved Beetle. She got the car re-done last week. "The car has a lot of sentimental value to Katie as it was one of Katie’s first ever cars. "She decided to revamp it after having it repossessed a few years ago and now getting it back. "She has wrapped the car in a beautiful, bright purple colour." Katie's VW Beetle, which was pink in its previous life, was towed away after she missed letters demanding payment on a driving fine from two years ago.The reality star owed £2.50 after failing to pay the toll charge for the Dartford Crossing back in 2017, and because she didn’t pay the fine, costs spiralled to around £800.The 44-year-old has expensive taste when it comes to her motors and also owns a custom-made pink Ferrari worth £179k and a silver BMW.

Her £75k pink Range Rover has also been repossessed. Her impressive collection is somewhat ironic given that she is currently banned from driving.

In December 2021 she received a 16 week suspended jail sentence and was banned from driving for two years after she admitted to drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance after a crash near her Sussex home.
