Katie Price's Olympic dreams shattered – amid former dressage teacher replacing horse-whipping star

Katie Priceis well known for her love of horses and enjoyment of riding – she even launched her own equestrian line. But it seems that her dreams of taking her big passion a huge step further have been shattered, after she failed to pursue securing a place at the Paris Olympics.

Back in 2021, Katie had set her sights high as she looked forward to Olympic glory, while hoping to compete in this year's games.The then-43 year old avid rider was spurred on by Team GB's equestrian success at Tokyo 2020, where they bagged an impressive four medals, including a shiny gold.The British Eventing team, made up of Oliver Townend, Laura Collett, and Tom McEwen, dazzled in dressage, cross country, and show jumping events with their horses Ballaghmor Class, London 52, and Toledo De Kerser, respectively.

Katie, who swapped glamour modelling for horse riding, took to Instagram to congratulate the team at the time, telling her 2.6 million followers that their historic win has fuelled her Olympic ambitions.

She gushed: "This is amazing first time In 50 years... I so want to compete in the next Olympics in the equestrian," adding a trio of red heart emojis to her post.
