Katie Price's ex-husband Alex Reid jailed for eight weeks after attempting to con car company out of £61,000

Alex Reid has been sentenced to eight weeks in prison after trying to defraud a car insurance company out of £61,000.The 45 year old was involved in a car crash in 2018, when his Audi A6 collided with a Seat Leon on the A41.

Katie Price's ex-husband said a stranger on a motorbike had offered to be a witness to the crash before police arrived at the scene.

However, it soon transpired that the "stranger" was actually Darren Summers, who Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex had trained for his first kick-boxing fight.
