As well as discussing the shocking Channel 4 documentary Miriam: Death of a Reality Star, about a trans woman who took part in a Bachelorette-style reality shown on Sky1 back in 2004, the 30 year old also tells us what she makes of ex JJ Slater and Katie Price ’s new romance and why she’s not here to “debate my existence”....

Hi Ella. It’s been about a year since you started filming MAFS. What’s been your biggest takeaway from the show? In my final vows I said “I’m leaving here a strong, independent and proud woman”.

I didn’t say “trans woman” because although I’ll always be very open about my experience as part of my advocacy work, and I’m obviously aware I’m a trans woman, I hope that one day we don’t have those labels.
