Katie Price 'in bits' as beloved dog dies after being struck by car

Katie Price has had to say goodbye to another pet following the death of her dog Sharon.The pooch was reportedly struck by a vehicle after it escaped through an open gate.

The Pomeranian, which has been pictured next to Price on social media, is said to have been struck by a vehicle on a main road.A motorist is thought to have taken the poor pup to Arun Vets in Pulborough, West Sussex.

It is not confirmed if this driver was the one who hit the dog.Sharon is Price's sixth pet to pass away under her care and a source says the former glamour model is said to be "in bits" after the traumatising incident, reports the Mirror.Speaking to the Sun, the sourced added that Sharon's unexpected death "rotten luck" following its unfortunate escape.

It comes following the publishing of an online petition to get pets removed from Katie's care.The petition, which has garnered over 24,000 signatures, is calling for the reality star to be 'banned from buying animals'.
