Viewers were left in stitches as they watched the boat that Katherine Ryan had been stranded on floating down the canal. Katherine, 39, was supposed to be one of the guests on Friday night's episode of Late Night Lycett, Joe Lycett's new comedy live show.
However, things took a hilarious turn when the comedian started to drift away on the barge as she was the only guest left that hadn't joined him in the studio.
As he was talking to the other guests, which included Dame Joanna Lumley, 76, Alan Carr, 46, and Alison Hammond, 48, Joe was told through his earpiece what was happening with Katherine, quickly diverting viewers to watch the scenes unfold.
Distracted by the unusual glitch, he said: "Katherine is technically with us.. just getting further and further… there’s a fast-flowing current tonight." The camera then panned to Katherine, who panicking at where the barge would go.The flustered mum-of-three cried out: "Where does this river even go?" Joe ended the show by issuing an apology to Katherine, adding: "Sorry to Katherine Ryan we couldn’t get her into the studio." However, everything seem to have turned out fine in the end, as Katherine was up at half past six on Saturday morning, making a video on Instagram Story with baby Fenna Grace.
