Former X Factor presenter Kate Thornton is determined to quit smoking for good. The telly star, 47, started socially smoking in her 20s.
Kate gave up on fags years ago, but in 2016 she revealed she'd caved in and gone back to them. "I've just started smoking again and I’m not proud.
I’ve got to get it into check," she told The Sun at the time. Fast forward four years and mum-of-one Kate has vowed to give up her biggest vice now for the sake of her 12-year-old son Ben, as she's his "role model".
She has signed up to Stoptober, the 28-day smoking challenge, in a bid to stump out her bad habit. The challenge will begin from tomorrow, October 1, and is proven to make people five times more likely to quit for good if completed successfully.
